About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Website Developer to design, develop, and maintain dynamic, responsive, and visually engaging websites. The ideal candidate is proficient in both front-end and back-end WordPress development, with a strong understanding of UI/UX, performance optimization, and web best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage custom WordPress websites using themes, page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery), and custom code.
  • Develop custom themes and plugins tailored to project requirements.
  • Ensure websites are responsive, SEO-optimized, fast-loading, and compatible across all devices and browsers.
  • Integrate APIs, third-party services, and payment gateways as required.
  • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to bring website concepts to life.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing WordPress sites to improve performance and resolve bugs.
  • Conduct regular website audits, updates, and backups to ensure security and stability.
  • Implement tracking, analytics, and conversion tools such as Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel.
  • Stay current with emerging web technologies and WordPress best practices.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of proven experience developing custom WordPress websites.
  • Strong understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and MySQL.
  • Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg) and WordPress frameworks.
  • Familiarity with WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, and other common plugins
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of website performance tools like GTmetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights, and Lighthouse.
  • Experience with REST APIs and third-party service integrations.
  • Solid grasp of security principles and how they apply to WordPress.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Experience in eCommerce development using WooCommerce or Shopify.
  • Familiarity with headless WordPress, JAMstack, or other modern CMS architectures.
  • Graphic design skills using tools like Adobe XD, Figma, or Photoshop.
