Responsibilities & Duties
Role Overview
We are seeking a cyber security intern that is eager to learn, analytical, and passionate about information security to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in protecting digital assets, monitoring threats, and supporting cybersecurity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in monitoring security alerts, logs, and incidents.

Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.

Help identify, investigate, and report potential security risks.

Assist in configuring and maintaining security tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection).

Escalate incidents to the appropriate team or individual for further action, as necessary.

Document incidents in accordance with established incident management processes.

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as required to provide updates on incident status.

Remain current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends.

Creation of exclusions, queries, and enhancements on behalf of clients to create a better and secure environment.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computing Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in information security, incident response, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with security-related technologies and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, etc.).

Knowledge of incident response methodologies and best practices.
-
Foundational certification such as Security+ or equivalent is required.
