Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and filing of statutory returns, ensuring compliance in accordance with the law.
  • Oversee the general ledger, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Conduct internal audits and implement improvements to financial processes and controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary changes to company policies and procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Support special projects and financial analysis as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA-K, ACCA) is required.
  • Must have 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws and accounting regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
